A Step Towards Collaborative Success
CalWin & Dorplan Progress Meeting
On August 19, 2025, we had the pleasure of visiting our valued customer, Dorplan in Norfolk.
Dorplan offer comprehensive doorset solutions with first class support. From enquiry to delivery, Dorplan supports every step of the way. Their highly proactive and knowledgeable team work tirelessly to overcome any complications or challenges that may arise.
The purpose of our meeting was to discuss the progress of our collaborative efforts, specifically focusing on the CalWin project.
This meeting featured representatives from both CalWin and Dorplan, bringing together diverse insights and expertise from multiple departments, sharing our experiences, addressed improvement areas, and agreed on measures for improvements.
Addressing improvements
We recognised the importance of addressing the improvements that surfaced after 3 years using CalWin. Our collaborative approach permitted us to brainstorm solutions in real time. We touched on areas such as:
Finance: Developing an effective method for managing FIFO stock to improve accuracy and consistency in project costing.
Checkpoint Control: To monitor work-in-progress stock across the site, enabling real-time tracking between departments. This solution also supports more accurate stock management during stock takes.
Reports: Enhancing reporting to save time and improve efficiency.
General: Training super users to maximise system utilisation and working closely with them to implement improvements within their current system setup.
What next?
As we wrapped up our meeting, it was clear that the partnership between CalWin and Dorplan is not just about projects and deliverables—it's about collaborative growth and shared success. The insights gained from this progress meeting will inform our next steps and reaffirm our commitment to delivering excellence.
We thank the Dorplan team for their hospitality and for the fruitful discussions. Together, we are poised to tackle challenges head-on and seize opportunities that lie ahead. The journey has only just begun, and we look forward to what the future holds for our partnership!
