Another CalWin machine integration goes live!

Published:

This time at Allan Brothers in Berwick-upon-Tweed.

We've connected CalWin's production engine directly to two Stegherr machining centres on the shop floor: a GLS and a KSF.

How it works: when a production order is processed in CalWin, it automatically generates XML cutting files and sends them straight to each machine. Profiles, lengths and angles — all calculated from the cutting list, all driving both machines with zero manual re-keying.

Why it matters: every measurement typed in twice is a chance for an error that ends up in scrapped material. By making the production order the single source of truth and pushing it directly to the machines, what the team specifies in CalWin is exactly what gets cut. Faster, cleaner, and a lot less margin for mistakes.

Everything is now live — we've successfully completed on-site acceptance testing alongside the teams at Allan Brothers and SHM Stegherr, with output verified and the integration running in everyday production.

Great example of what CalWin is built for: connecting the office to the machine and taking the manual steps out in between. 👏
